Trip To Oregon

by AMJ, San Francisco

It was the happiest when I got to go out of state to go skate with my homie’s. It was about three months ago, when me and my homies/family we went to Oregon to skate all different skate parks. It was I can say, the happiest time of my life. We went all over Portland/Oregon. I mean it was the best adventure. We went camping for a few days, all different camping spots.

Then after that, we went to go meet my sponsor for the first time. She’s hella cool, I’m like a son to her when I first met her, I was so happy to see her. She was like, “Rad, good to see you.”

With a big smile on her face. After that, we set up our tent in her backyard. She had a nice view in her backyard of the wilderness. It was all kinds of animals. We barbecued. We all ate good. Then I smoked with my sponsor. Her name is Chloe, and I drank some Henny. Then we all went to sleep, woke up and headed on our journey the same day.

I think I messed up my ankle. My big homie had to you carry me out the skate park. We have everything on video, him carrying me out like a baby on his shoulder. There were some good days, but it ain’t the last we going to have more coming. Search up Camp Green Big. They have a book, but the view out there is so nice.

The waterfront we slept on was a non-sleeping place. Somebody owned it, we set up camp. Before we head back to SF, rolled up some club weed for out there and before we went to sleep, it was something on the other side of the water like a mountain cat or something, it sounded big. By the time we went to sleep we all heard the thing swimming across to us, but it was so dark we couldn’t see nothing. I really didn’t care what it was. But I was serious I wasn’t tripping, I just sparked up a spliff and went to sleep.

When I woke up, it was about 6 in the morning and it was so foggy, I wanted to swim in the water, it was so clear. But we had to hit the road, where we came it was like a homemade lake. It looked like it was very big, but on the way to the border we seen people in race cars parked, smoking, drinking, having fun, but after we crossed through the border from Oregon to Callie through Pacific there was these nice houses. It was house to house, it looks very old like the houses were built the same, look the same, probably could be haunted, but I don’t know.

Someone was selling their land for like 950 bucks. It was a nice cool ride from Pacific all the water, the rocks that were broken off the slope. It was a nice ocean view when you hit Oregon all you see is plants.

My homies had a farm with a clean lake in the back. It was small, but it was nice. Before we left, we slept out on the beach it was cool. I seen this tree stump, it had rocks in it. It was very old probably 500 years old or 1000.

It had stones inside it. Before I tell you how I found it, we was trying to use it for a beach fire to keep us warm. The sooner or later an army vet came by pretty drunk, but he was so cool he went to his house and back and brought us firewood from his home.

He was kind of old, but strong. He always keep his military knife on him. It was a nice one, but he was so drunk he left it. I didn’t know where he lived, so I kept it for a memory of him, he was so kind.

In the morning when we woke up, my tent was all messed up, but my homie named Flava Dave, he had one of those pop out tents. My tent was all over the place. It was like water in my tent. Before we left, I picked at the tree branch where the stones were. I had got a few out, right on time before we left.

They are on my windowsill at my house, but while I was trying to get the big one out, I broke the knife, but still kept it all. It’s a reminder of Oregon. I always look at them before I go skate.

That is it, I’m out this thing. Hope you liked my story. I’m gone you should be too.
