I would love to one day be a father. It’s something that I have thought about a ton, but not something that I want for myself yet. Before I have a kid, I’d like to be in a much more stable and comfortable financial situation, as well of course to be on the outside.
I am blessed to have been raised by both of my parents together, and I’d like to do the same when I have a child. My parents instilled a solid work ethic in me, as well as a solid moral compass and a desire to make a positive impact in the world. I think that raising a child well, is a super difficult task.
I wouldn’t want to raise them spoon fed and spoiled, but I also wouldn’t want them to struggle for their needs. A balance must be struck, and I imagine it’s very hard. Respect and morals are also a huge thing I’d want to teach.
For me, I picked up a lot of it from seeing my parents act with those values, so for them I think that leading by example.
