I understand why the governor wants everybody at home instead of outside. This Coronavirus is spreading faster and faster.
A lot of people are taking it as a joke. They’re still doing what they want to do. A lot of families are struggling to find food and toilet paper, and cleaning supplies.
People are buying everything they can get their hands on. The president is giving out Stimulus checks for $1200 plus $500 for every American child.
This is because a lot of people are struggling to work and get hours to be able to pay for the rent. Only American citizens get the checks.
The Hispanic people have to go out of their way to keep working, to have enough to pay the rent so they can have a roof over their head. Also, to get food for their family.
I’m in YDF (Youth Detention Facility), so I don’t really spend my days thinking about the virus. But, I do spend a lot of time thinking about my family, hoping everything is fine with everything going on.
They still want to visit me, but I told my parents to just stay home instead of coming. Unless it’s something important that they need to talk to me about.
But, I rather have them be with the rest of the family, safe, because I know where I’m at right now, I’m safe.
I just wish I could be there at home, spending every minute that I can with my daughter and my family. I pray every day that I’m one of those kids that get to go home sooner than expected.
